Is Times Square Bomb Muslim Revenge For South Park Muhammad?

The New York Police department reports that numerous would have died had the Times Square bomb gone off instead of failing to explode. In a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder that a surveillance camera captured on video Saturday, the Times Square bomb was transported in. Saturday night, a street vendor noticed smoke coming from the car and alerted police. Thousands of people were evacuated from Times Square due to the bomb. New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told CNN that had the bomb exploded, it "would have caused casualties, a significant fireball”.

Reuters reports that the statement said before it was taken down, “The Pakistani Taliban announces its responsibility for the New York attack in revenge for the two leaders al-Baghdadi and al-Muhajir and Muslim martyrs.” The muslim.net statement also said that Qari Hussain Mehsud, who’s the master mentor of Taliban suicide bombers, accepted responsibility for the New York bomb plot “with good pride and utmost bravery.” There was no evidence, as outlined by Federal and local officials, to support the Pakistani Taliban's statement.

New York bomb plot and Iraq

Fox News reports that investigators are looking at parallels between the New York bomb and other attacks from summer of 2007. The attacks were at an airport in Glasgow, Scotland, in a neighborhood of nightclubs in London, and a theater. Both attacks involved cars containing propane and gasoline that also failed to explode. Those attacks supposedly had roots in Iraq.

Blunder with the Times Square bomb

The Pathfinder that has the New York bomb was brought to forensic in Jamaica, Queens where investigators searched for DNA, hairs, fibers, and fingerprints. No fingerprints were found as of Sunday night, officials told the New York Times. The owner of the auto was found through identification numbers on the auto. Thieves had stripped the VIN number from the dashboard but they didn’t realize it was stamped in other places, like the engine block and axle.

Is this man the bomber?

Hundreds of hours of surveillance footage is being studied by the FBI from more than 80 cameras which contain images of a man leaving the vicinity of the Pathfinder that was shot by a tourist. The person of interest within the video was seen taking off a shirt and walking away shortly before the automobile started to smolder.

Faisal Shahzad Arrested For Times Square Automobile Bomb

A 30-year-old Pakistani-born U.S. Citizen, Faisal Shahzad, has been arrested in connection to the Times Square vehicle bomb incident. He is due to appear in court today, Tuesday, May 4. He evidently and fortunately didn’t know much about bomb making, because it didn’t go off. He didn’t get too far afterwards, either. With the charges he’s likely to face, he’s going to need some hefty no faxing payday loans to get decent lawyer.

Faisal Shahzad arrested in nick of time

Faisal Shahzad was attempting escape when caught. He had boarded a plane bound for Dubai at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where he was apprehended. Neither saw him outside of the house much. The house he resided with his wife and children in was later foreclosed on.

The President weighs in

President Obama released a brief statement in which he praised the efforts of the citizens who tipped off police force and the law enforcement officials who responded to the threat. He promised further investigation and that justice would be done.

Unknown motives

So far, the motives of Faisal Shahzad’s Times Square car bomb have not been identified. What is clear, from the CBS reports and others reports, is that he had become a citizen. He and his wife purchased a home, and she and their children now reside close to Peshawar, Pakistan, where he returned from several months ago. He also bought a used Pathfinder with cash and didn’t register it. Authorities tracked down the previous owner using the VIN on the motor. Further insight may be gained soon, as he is due in court soon.

BrandsZ Top 100 Names BMW Most Valuable Auto Brand

In the annual BrandsZ Top 100 survey conducted by market research company Millward Brown, BMW has moved to the lead when it comes to the most valuable auto brands worldwide. BMW’s rise takes them above Toyota, who was damaged considerably by recent scandals over mechanical defects. Some including Millward Brown Global Brand Manager Peter Walshe believe that this is only a temporary setback for Toyota. BMW moved to the top slot despite a nine percent decrease from the previous year. By contrast, Toyota’s brand value dropped a whopping 27 percent over the very same period.

Freed From Prison Is Malcolm X Assassin Thomas Hagan

Civil rights leader Malcolm X was shot to death on Feb. 21, 1965 within the Audubon Ballroom during a speaking engagement. Three men were arrested for the crime, but the prime mover in the shooting was Thomas Hagan. Hagan served 44 years for the crime. Previously known as Talmadge Hayer, or Talmadge X Hayer, Thomas Hagan is 69 years old and was granted parole after a dozen requests, and probably a payday loans or two for legal representation.

The assassination of Malcolm X

In 1965 on that day, Malcolm X took the podium at the Audubon Ballroom. A disturbance broke out in the audience as he started addressing the crowd.
