Emanuel out of Chicago mayor competition

Emanuel has been stricken from the list of candidates in the Chicago mayor race. His candidacy was challenged in court on qualification grounds. Initially, his eligibility to run was upheld in a court ruling which was appealed. However, an appeals court judgment overturned that decision. This is the second trip to court for Rahm Emanuel to keep him in the running for Chicago’s mayor. The Chicago Board of Elections confirmed that Emanuel was eligible in Dec. 2010 while a Cook County judge upheld that in court. The appellate court ruled that Emanuel would be excluded from the ballot after it was appealed. In order to run for a position, a candidate has to have lived in the city for at least one year before election day. This is what the state law states. He obviously was not residing in Chicago as Emanuel had been renting it out to previous mayoral candidate Rob Halpin.

Appeal is very possible

Emanuel might appeal the verdict. However, the attorney who lodged the appeal against Emanuel noted that the justice who delivered the opinion addressed the issue of eligibility so well the Illinois Superior Court might refuse to touch the case. If no appeal is filed, Emanuel will be stricken from the ballot.

China could cause a new international financial crisis

China will not begin to see the chasm

Protecting exporters also as fighting the idea of high inflation is why the Chinese government is fighting. Krugman explains that the world market is being fought. Inflation rates are much higher than the 2.75 percent interest rate China allows financial institution deposits to have. This is bad for the country. In accordance with Krugman, economic exploitation of the populace is what is happening. He believes that it will only get worse the way things are headed.

China states that the United States and Federal Reserve have printed too much cash which is the only reason why the yuan is going up. Credit is being restricted while interest rates are going up in China. It is much harder to try and enforce China's credit as there is a lot of outside money coming to the country. In a gesture to their Tea Party handlers, House Republicans made the first order of business in the 112th Congress a reading of the United States Constitution text. The event achieved nothing tangible and gave politicians a chance to preen before the media. Republicans ruffled feathers by deciding to omit unpleasant sections of the United States Constitution text and a lady was ejected for insulting the president. Jesse Jackson, D-Ill, said “Many of us don’t want that to be lost upon reading of our sacred document.” Many think that the Three-Fifths Clause should remind conservatives that the Constitution isn't set in stone as it can change with the nation when amendments are passed.

The reading of the U.S. Constitution text was shared by both Republicans and Democrats in what may be the final bipartisan gesture in the 112th Congress. The section that requires a person to be a "natural born citizen", read by Frank Pallone, D-N.J., was where things went wrong. A woman in the audience shouted “Except Obama, except Obama, help us Jesus!” The woman was arrested and escorted from the chamber.

This unpredictability impacts every person from the growers who sell their crops to the final consumer price paid, 2 to nine months later, when the product finally reaches the industry.
