There were hostages taken near Miami today. The situation was in the Coral Gables, Florida Financial institution of America. There’s an investigation into the kidnapping that preceded this hostage situation. At approximately 11:42 this morning, Coral Gables police confirmed that the last person was out of the bank and the Miami hostage situation was over.

Thurs evening, there was a kidnapping linked to the Coral Gables Bank of America heist. The person who was kidnapped had to strap themselves to a bomb. Allegedly, the individual entered the bank before it opened. By eight within the morning, police, FBI, and SWAT teams were on the scene of the Coral Gables bank. Schools in the area were locked down during the Miami hostage situation. Transportation around the financial institution was also shut down.
Thurs evening kidnapping associated with Coral Gables Bank robbery
The Coral Gables Bank robbery started on Thurs evening, with a home attack at the Nob Hill apartments. All all-points bulletin has been issued for a red Mustang automobile with two passengers that might be linked to this kidnapping and home attack. It is not yet clear if the financial institution robbers / kidnappers were with the kidnapped employee who was possibly strapped to the explosive device when he or she was forced to enter the bank. There is not yet a word on if the Coral Gables Bank hostage was really a robbery, or if there was some other motivation for the crimes.
Miami hostage scenario over, bomb remains
There is full confirmation from Coral Gables Bank and the FBI that hostages were held within the bank during the morning. The last hostage left Coral Gables Bank relatively easily. By 11:20 a.m., everybody had exited the building. However, FBI and police confirm the bomb squad is still on the scene. The bomb, which was originally reported as strapped to the kidnapped employee, may nevertheless be inside the Coral Gables bank. The preventative and protective closures at schools and for transportation stayed in placed until every little thing was declared clear.
