Brittany Favre makes Brett daddy the first NFL grandfather QB

Brett Favre might not have been able to deliver a Super Bowl victory to Minnesota, but Brett Favre’s daughter Brittany Favre has delivered something even more significant: a baby boy. New life is always precious and the birth of Parker Brett adds a new accolade to the Brett Favre career. Assuming he returns to play for the 2010 NFL season, Brett Favre could be the first grandfather ever to lace up spikes within the NFL, according to various resources. The very first active NFL grandfather may have been George Blanda but that is disputed.

Brittany Favre is a proud mama, and turns 21 in 2010

Favre's official reaction is under closed doors since Brett Favre guards his family's privacy very well. Brett Favre’s daughter cedes the limelight to daddy Brett Favre, who made the following statement to the media (See resource below) with regards to Brittany Favre and her son Parker Brett:

“Deanna and I are very proud to welcome our grandchild Parker Brett to the Favre family. Parker Brett was born on Friday, April 2, weighing 7 lb. 7 oz., and we’re pleased to say that both (sic) Mom, Dad and Parker Brett are healthy and doing great.”

Best wishes go out to Brittany Favre and her family

Even though Brittany Favre’s father (and Parker’s grandfather) Brett Favre may annoy some fans with his constant retirement talk, there’s little doubt that the grandfather quarterback can still play. Some fans might jokingly wonder if he’ll play long enough to line up alongside Parker Brett, but of course that could be next to impossible. Brett is nevertheless unsure if he'll even return to the Minnesota Vikings in 2010, or if he's retire to his own business ventures such as payday loans no fax. He will have won more games than any other starting quarterback in NFL history (181) when he turns 41 in October 2010. Yet the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder s! ays Brett Favre will likely be back for more (See resource below). The publication quotes an unnamed resource as saying “I think he (Favre) does not mind trying it again.”

As to whether Brittany Favre could be “trying it again,” she should probably wait until after Parker Brett is out of diapers. But remember, Brett Favre never as a player shied away from adversity. Possibly it runs within the family. Whatever Brett Favre’s daughter decides, it appears she has a loving family in her corner.
