For the last few months, the Dell Streak has been whispered about in the back hallways. In credit counseling offices and I.T. offices across the nation, there was happiness when the Dell Streak 7 and 10 inch versions were leaked.
Lineup of Dell Streak
For months now, pictures and info about the Dell Streak are carefully released. The Dell Streak 5 – otherwise known as Mini 5 – was released on March 9. Because no ship date or price was accessible, this flier was just a teaser. The Dell Streak lineup was confirmed this morning as including 7 and 10 inch versions.
Dell Streak integrated features
The line of Dell Streak computers are true multipurpose tablet computers. The Streak 5 is said to consist of a SIM card and dialer – meaning it will act as a phone also. Amazon and Dell have also penned a content partnership for the Dell Streak computers. With video streaming, Kindle app, and MP3 player built in, the Streak machines will even come in many colors. A 5 megapixel camera, 30-pin docking connector, touch display, and VGA camera will extend the usability of the Dell Streak.
Dell Streak operating system
The Dell Streak OS will, a lot more likely than not, be Windows-based. That means that any person who’s or would like to hire dedicated programmers can create applications and programs to run on the Dell Streak.
When can I get the Dell Streak?
The Dell Streak doesn’t yet have a ship date or price. A few more months from now, the Dell 7 and 10 can have official ship dates. Some may have gotten a cash advance in anticipation of the Dell Slate, but most of us can have to wait until the end of the year. In late 2010, the Dell Streak 5 will be available. Dell Streak 7 and Dell Streak 10 should be available within the first few months of 2011. The iPhone, iPad, and WePad have to keep an eye out!
