Ace of Cakes terminated from the Food Network channel

Celebrity baker Duff Goldman hasn’t decorated his last cake, but the 35-year-old star of reality TV program "Ace of Cakes" will no longer be a regular sight on the Food Network station after next year. In Jan, the program will begin airing its 10th and last year.

No more ‘Ace of Cakes’ on the Food Network

Sunday the Food Network made a statement about "Ace of Cakes" which is currently in its 10th year, report the Associated Press. This could be the final season of the show. Duff Goldman, along with his colorful crew at Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, M.D., will nevertheless be in business, but now without the cameras and Food Network promotions. Goldman also confirmed the show’s closing chapter in a statement on the Charm City Cakes website :

It’s true: All good things must come to an end. Ace of Cakes’ 10th season, set to air in January, will be our last.

About three weeks ago, we completed filming and wished a tearful goodbye to our beloved crew from Authentic Entertainment (and threw a rager of a wrap party).

There are, of course, lots of mixed feelings about this news …

Charm City Cakes on ‘Ace of Cakes’ with Duff Goldman

Becoming famous for Jeffrey Adam "Duff" Goldman was a matter of business with cakes. The cakes were extremely unusual. Charm City Cakes was opened by the Michigan-born man in 2000. He got a ton of business in there. He needed more employees to keep up with it. But rather than employing experienced culinary pastry chefs, Goldman instead took on a handful of sculptors, painters and architects.

Also, all the Goldman cakes are created in Charm City Cakes which is a bakery with a ton of torches, drills and grinders.

Ace of Cakes concluding

Some of the best ratings for prime-time showings were given to Ace of Cakes. The Food Network station typically would not do that well. But as Goldman said, all good things must come to an end. However, considering the man’s love for all cakes beautiful and weird, enthusiasts are hoping they’ll get another slice of “Ace of Cakes” on other Food Network programs.
