Do not be considered a fool at the holiday season workplace celebrations

December is here, and that means that holiday season workplace parties can’t be far behind. Just because you’re there to have fun doesn’t mean you should down a massive number of Jager bombs and dance without pants. Keep the mind on a swivel are stay alert to appropriate office behavior, even at the office Christmas party, writes Fast Company. Holiday office celebrations can impact your reputation

You need to surely dance and have a good time when at the holiday season workplace party. You should stay away from feeling up your co-workers while being sloppy drunk though. There could be cell phone cameras catching what happens at holiday season workplace celebrations each time something embarrassing happens. And if the boss is a witness, there might be a pink slip with your future.

In spite of this, holiday season office parties remain a breeding ground for naughtiness. A recent survey by the HR firm Adecco points out that poor behavior at the workplace Christmas party is fairly common. There were 40 percent of respondents who said that at holiday season office celebrations they have either engaging in embarrassing conduct or known someone else to engage in it. Twenty-three percent have been officially reprimanded for inappropriate conduct. Inappropriate behavior gets individuals fired too. In fact, 11 percent said they either knew someone or were someone to get fired like this. Evidently there were 4 percent who insulted a boss or knew somebody who did. The same goes for the 7 percent who insulted a colleague.

Hooking up unusual among workers

Fast Company accounts that very few respondents to the Adecco survey admitted to meeting up at a workplace Christmas party (the key word being "admitted"). Only 3 percent of workers said they had hooked up with a co-worker at a holiday office party; it seems easy to understand that only a small number of individuals were willing to confess.

Self control at holiday season workplace celebrations

Those at the workplace Christmas party will not like it if you negative mouth them. Getting drunk like this is bad to do. Make sure you have people there to stop you in case you have a workplace crush and too much booze.
