Sun release for Verizon's 4G network

On Dec. 5, Verizon is making a big change to their service offerings. A 4G network will be launched on that day. The speeds promised by the LTE network are near broadband speed. This is thanks to technologies called LTE. No Verizon cell phones yet support the 4G network technologies. Verizon plans on rolling out 4G phones in January. There is a Verizon 4G network. The company is at the 4th generation wireless technology that has come out. There is a 4G wireless network called WiMax. This is exactly what Sprint Nextel released. The WiMax 4G and LTE 4G are different from one another. There are common areas both wireless technologies can be used at. These areas are airports and large metropolitan areas. Smaller wireless transmission points placed together pretty close are exactly what both technologies need. The claims of Verizon's LTE 4G systems are great ones. Supposedly, 12 megabits per second come in. Sprint’s 4G states peak-download speeds of “more than 10 megabits per second.”.

Though the Verizon 4G LTE networks are presenting in limited areas, 4G networks are set to replace the current 3G networks fully by about 2013. There is one big issue for Verizon Wireless. There aren't many phones to choose from. The Verizon 4G network will only be used by some phones. USB modems are required on these phones. In January, many 4G phones could be released at the Consumer Electronics Show for Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless is often known for having a good network, but its selection of phones has cost the company customers within the past.

Though many customers are calling out for increasingly more speed on their wireless networks, the speed does not come free. The 3G networks have been hurt by the Unlimited data plans while the 4G networks are expected to do the exact same. The pricing Verizon has shown for the 4G network is different. It will give limits to the network. Unlimited plans will not exist anymore. The Verizon 4G network won't have them anyway. Instead, it can be priced at $50 for five gigabits per month and $80 for 10 gigabits. Having only five gigabits of data limits you to 1,000 or so web pages. It will also allow for 200 minutes of YouTube videos and 500 Facebook photos could be uploaded.
