Lots of social networking for NORAD Santa Tracker 2010

With only 22 days until Santa starts his around-the-world flight, the Santa Tracker is gearing up. The NORAD Santa Tracker 2010 will be doing more than just tracking the flight. NORAD has partnered with everybody from YouTube to Google Maps to make sure that the system is on top of the flight.

Background of North American Aerospace Defense Command 2010 Santa Tracker

The 2010 Santa Tracker service is once again from the NORAD. Starting in 1955, the agency that would become North American Aerospace Defense Command started tracking the flight of Santa Claus. It all began when a Sears department store ad misprinted a phone number where kids could “talk to Santa” on Christmas Eve. The Continental Air Defense office was where the phone actually went to. The "current location" of Santa Claus was given to the children.
