A manufacturer of frozen vegetables has announced that some of their bundles are not fit to eat. There’s a recall. The frozen vegetable packages in question were found to have shards of glass in packages of peas. So far, the recall seems to have only been from a single lot of frozen veggies. The business only has four different packages that contain said tainted peas. The bundles are carried by Kroger stores in the South, and nationally by Wal-Mart. Complaints of glass in frozen vegetables
One manufacturer was responsible for all of the glass found within the freezing food. In Bells, Tenn., there’s a business called Pictsweet. This is the company that supplied the freezing veggies to at least two chains. Cable News Network accounts that Kroger stores in the southeast and all the Wal-Mart stores purchase the company’s freezing veggies also. The recall is being announced following the business received five complaints of glass in packages of frozen veggies. There were shards of glass in bundles that contained peas, a few of which had peas within the package with other veggies also. One single lot of freezing vegetables had the problem with the glass as far as we can tell. There hasn’t been an injury reported yet. The recall may are just in time.
