There was a good disturbance within the Force. It has been announced that there could be a “Star Wars 3D” run in movie theaters. Each one of the films is getting the 3-d treatment. The first is slated for a 2012 release. The releases, which aren’t set in stone yet, will be in story order. The initial launch could be of “Episode 1,” the very first prequel. After the prequels will come the original trilogy.
It is almost time to see ‘Star Wars’ in 3-dimensional movie
Right now, Hollywood is on a kick. This kick includes all the three dimensional illusion films being made. The biggest hits in the last few years are “Avatar” and “Clash of the Titans.” These were both launched in two dimensions and three dimensions. Now that the technology is accessible, George Lucas and Industrial Light and Magic have decided to give “Star Wars” the 3-d treatment. Lucas film said, The Telegraph reports, that the job will not be done super quickly. The series could be much better in three dimensional versions after each and every single detail has been made 3-dimensional.
First in 2012
The first installment in the “Star Wars 3-D” run could be “Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.” The chronological order of the story can be followed as the series is released. A launch date is the big question. There is no exact date at present. The goal is to have it released in 2012. George Lucas isn’t quite sure about all this 3-d engineering nevertheless. This is what The Hollywood Reporter says. After he saw “Avatar,” he decided to make the change. The length between releases hasn’t been figured out. Nobody has said anything about it.
Getting theaters up to speed
Theaters have to get up to speed. Too the majority are still lagging with only 2-D projections. Each and every year increasingly more movie theaters get 3-dimensional capabilities. In fact, you will find about 500 each and every year changing. More films are being released in 3-D meaning more theaters are attempting to get it. There isn’t any update on whether “Indiana Jones” or “Clone Wars” series will become 3-d anytime soon.
